Dr. Joseph John completed his graduation from Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum in 1993. He took his MD in General Medicine from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai in 2003 and did his DM Gastroenterology from Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum in 2007.

After completing his DM, he worked for one year as Senior Lecturer in the Department of medical gastroenterology, Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum. From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Joseph worked at PVS Memorial Hospital, Kochi as Consultant Gastroenterologist.

He also underwent Transplant Hepatology training at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi in 2013. He is in charge of the Medical Gastroenterology department at Renai Medicity since October 2014. His areas of special interest are inflammatory bowel disease, acute and chronic liver disease and Liver transplantation.
